An extremely varied underwater landscape and abundance of fauna, both reef and pelagic, make of Shark Reef the most famous and popular underwater site in the Red Sea. To enjoy theexceptional faunal richness of this place, the best time to visit it is certainly summer, especially the month of July. But the site is subject to currents, sometimes even violent ones, therefore a adequate technical level. The diving area is very large, which is why i There are numerous underwater routes that can be done and they agree with the weather conditions, with the current, and with the preparation of the group.

L'more classic and complete itinerary allows you to visit more than just one dive Shark Reef but also Yolanda Reef And Anemone City, the two neighboring sites. In this case the dive starts from Anemone City, a plateau so called because it was colonized by a large population of sea anemones.

Among the tentacles of these, the inevitable and symbiotic clown fish they make the site even more colorful. From the city of anemones we head towards the blue and with a few minutes of swimming we arrive at Shark Reef with its unmistakable profile of sea fans.

From here we continue keeping the madreporic tower on the right, but always keeping an eye on the open sea where it is possible to see walls of Trevally, banks of batfish or small ones black fin barracuda. Sometimes, in the circle created by these, even one or two wander around blacktip sharks which will make the memory of this dive indelible. Continuing you reach a sandy saddle that announces the arrival at the third site: Yolanda Reef.
