Discover Scuba Diving

Do you want to feel what it feels like to breathe underwater? Do you think, rightly, that your Red Sea holiday wouldn't be complete if you didn't try to see what's beneath the surface of the sea? Don't have time or don't feel ready to embark on a certification course yet?

Discover Scuba Diving is for you. It will let you try diving in and find out if you like it. While this is not a true certification course, you will quickly learn how to use scuba gear in shallow water and get a quick and easy introduction to what underwater exploration is all about. With Dive In you will carry out the program in the pool and/or in the sea, always under the guidance of qualified instructors.

The fun aspect

There's nothing like breathing underwater for the first time ever. It doesn't take long and after a few minutes of wonderment, most participants realize how easy scuba diving really is.

The fun aspect? The biggest challenge that Discover Scuba Diving Instructors face is not getting participants into the water, but getting them out when the program is over!

Get a credit!

If your Discover Scuba Diving program includes an actual open water dive, the experience may be credited towards your Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver certification; an extra advantage for when you decide to take a complete course.

What do you learn

• ✓ You will learn the basics you need to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Dive In Professional.
• ✓ You will discover how it feels to have scuba gear on, how easy it is to move underwater thanks to it.
• ✓ You will discover what it feels like to breathe underwater and how easily you can do it.
• ✓ You will learn some basic skills and safety rules that, when you take the next step, you will need in your complete certification course.

The diving equipment you use

You will use all the basic diving equipment that is included in the course:

• ✓ The mask, snorkel and fins, you will also use a buoyancy compensator to carry your tank, a regulator that gives you air, a ballast system and the instruments to control depth and air supply and a wetsuit to protect you from the Freddo.
• ✓ The teaching materials you need.
• ✓ Just your enthusiasm and normal attention.

Prerequisites

To participate in Discover Scuba Diving, you must be at least 10 years old.

Your next adventure

Once you complete your Discover Scuba Diving program, you can continue with the Scuba Diver and Open Water Diver certification courses.
