Advanced Open Water Diver! And you don't have to beadvanced” to attend it, in fact it is designed so that you can do it immediately after the PADI Open Water Diver.
The course Advanced Open Water Diver helps you increase your self-confidence and improves your diving skills so you feel much more comfortable in the water. It's an excellent way to do more dives, while you continue to learn under the supervision of your Dive In Instructor.
You may earn school credit with the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course. This course builds on what you've already learned and develops new skills by introducing you to new activities and new ways to have fun underwater. You'll hone your skills by completing five Adventure Dives that introduce you to:
✔ To underwater navigation
✔ Deep diving (usually between 18 and 30 meters)
✔ A taste of three or more Adventure Dives of your choice
One of the reasons you will love the Advanced Open Water Diver course is that you and your Dive In Instructor will choose the Adventure Dives needed to complete the course from a list of 15 different ones.

What you learn:
The Adventures in Diving Manual and the PADI DVD they provide you with information on more than 16 types of specialty diving. You will use them as a guide to improve your diving skills and prepare for new experiences and adventures.
Are you curious about night diving? Skip to the specific chapter. Once you have reviewed your skills, your Instructor will guide you on your first deep dive adventure.
Do you have any problems with underwater navigation? Review the dedicated section, and sign up for the Underwater Navigation Adventure with your PADI Instructor.

To participate in the course, you must:
✔ Be a PADI Open Water Diver (or have an equivalent certification issued by another training organization)
✔ Be 15 years old (12 for the Junior Advanced Open Water Diver course)
After your first adventure in the Advanced Open Water Diver course, you will likely want to complete the entire course and learn more about the specialties:

The course Advanced Open Water Diver Online will get you started right away with the basic information you need for seven of the most popular Adventure Dives (but you and your Dive In Instructor can always choose any Adventure Dive).
Theoretical knowledge and skills that you acquire with the Advanced Open Water Diver course vary depending on your interests and the adventures you choose, but include:
✔ The practical aspects of deep diving
✔ The physiological effects of deep diving.
✔ More ways to use your underwater compass
✔ How to navigate using kick strokes, visual references and time
✔ How to best use your dive computer and the electronic Recreational Dive PlannerTM (eRDPmlTM)

You will use all basic diving equipment and it is included in the course. You will use: the mask, snorkel And fins, you will also use a variable buoyancy jacket to bring yours cylinder, a dispenser that gives you the air, a system of ballast and the instrumentation to check depth and air supply and a mute to protect you from the cold.
