    Description of the cruise

    THE MAGIC TRIANGLE

Sailing from Marsa Alam, and sailing in a northerly direction, you undertake an itinerary where the absolute protagonist is the current, with exciting dives, considered among the most beautiful in the world.

7 days of underwater adventures suitable for experienced and demanding divers, to reach the islands BrothersDaedalusElphistone hey wrecks of Numidia and Aida 2.

They are reached first the Brothers Islands, two cyclopean limestone columns located in the middle of the Red Sea, 40 miles from the coast, which rise from an abyss of over 300 meters.

The particular location of these “two brothers” does not allow a constant presence of boats, and this guarantees those who dive to find themselves among the most pristine seabed of the Red Sea.

Trevally and barracuda that drift in mid-water, gray sharks in the open sea, hammerhead sharks and sometimes i Longimanus, are just some of the exciting encounters that can be had in these waters.

The beauty of the backdrop it is not only given by the ease with which these animals can be observed up close, but also by the richness of color that characterizes every small space of the reef thanks to the exceptional concentration of alcyonaria, gorgonians and black coral.

On the northern tip and on the western wall of the larger of the two islands, they are found two splendid wrecks: the Aida II and the Numibia.

Both leaning on the wall, almost in a vertical position, have become the ideal substrate for the growth of alcyonaria of all colors, which here, thanks to the current which guarantees continuous oxygenation, find the ideal environment to proliferate.

Gorgoniansanemones And sponges complete the picture of a very colorful scenography in which clouds of anthias and photogenic pterois volitans.

Navigation proceeds towards Daedalus, a reef located on the upper end of a volcanic crater. At the center of the atoll a small island of very white sand was created on which, in the early 1900s, the English built a construction which has become the symbol of Daedalus itself: the majestic lighthouse from which an extraordinary panorama can be observed, above all at sunset.

There are many species that have adopted this extraordinary habitat: colorful tropical fish that coexist with schools of pelagic fish, such as barracudatrevallyreef sharks. But looking into the blue it is easy to spot a spectacle of great power and beauty: the unmistakable silhouette of hammerhead sharks.

Daedalus, like the Brothers Islands, is part of the Marine Park established by the Egyptian Ministry of the Environment in 1996 and which also protects the island of Zagarbad and Rocky Island.

The itinerary ends finally with the exploration of Elphinstone, a narrow and long madreporic reef located twenty miles from Marsa Alam; its long plateau is considered among the best-known dives in the entire Red Sea. Like all plateaus that jut out into the blue, the main feature of this site is the encounter with the pelagic. But there is no shortage of adrenaline-filled encounters, like the one with the hammerhead sharks they gray sharks.

Marine Parks “the shark triangle” is a cruise that offers, without a doubt, some of the most fascinating and exciting dives in the underwater world.
